Minotaur

Minotaur

The home planet of the Minotaur is unknown but the appearance of it has been described as “muscular, hairy, humanoid. Big horns, claws, and hooves. In short, terrifying.”

The Minotaur race invaded planets and made themselves up to be worshiped as gods.

The Minotaur that the Doctor encounters is locked in a prison that is being disguised as an Earth hotel and was just drifting along, preying on people’s belief systems and feeding on them.

The Skovox Blitzer

SB

The Skovox Blitzer’s home planet is unknown, but this military killing machine is one of the deadliest killing machines ever created. The Skovox Blitzer is extremely high tech and when one invaded the planet Earth, it had enough explosives on it to take out the entire planet. If one of these guys had enough power to take out the entire planet Earth, just imagine what a whole bunch of these guys could do!

Luckily the time it invaded Earth the Doctor was able to stop it with the help of Clara’s boyfriend Danny.

The Teselecta

Teselecta

The Teselecta is also known as Justice Department Vehicle. This machine is staffed by a crew that has been miniaturized to fit inside of it.

The home planet of the Teselecta is unknown, but the purpose of the Teselecta is clear. The purpose of this machine is to travel through time and locate people who have broken the law. Then the Teselecta is to ‘send them to hell’ without killing the person who they have found guilty of the crime.

The appearance of the Teselecta is never the same because this machine can change to look like anyone it has scanned. The machine can even get taller or shorter to match the height of the person they scanned. Not only can the Teselecta change to look like people, but it can also transform to look like and perform like non-living item such as clothing or a motorbike as we see in one episode of Doctor Who.

Zygons

Zygon

The home planet of the Zygons was destroyed in the Time War. This species is powerful and technologically advanced.

The appearance of the Zygons is tricky, because they have the ability to shape shift. Their natural look is a redish color with odd skin. There are also these circles sticking out of them that are on their arms, heads, and chests. They can change their appearance to mimic any other living creature so they can be hard to spot sometimes.

Sontarans

Sontaran

The Sontarans are a species that is born to fight. The Sontarans reproduce through cloning and are literally made for the purpose of fighting. They love nothing more than to engage in combat.

Their home planet is called Sontar and their appearance is described as “short, squat, muscular, and grey. Their faces are leathery exuding menace.”

One of their weaknesses is on the back of their necks and is called a probic vent. If someone were to hit this spot, it can stun or even kill a Sontaran.

One Sontaran that appears throughout Doctor Who is called Strax. He works closely with Madame Vastra, who is a Silurian and her wife Jenny Flint who is a human. The three of them make a good team and help the Doctor when he needs it the most.

The Ood

The Ood

The Ood are an extremely peaceful, sophisticated, and wise species. They enjoy being of service to others and are truly kind. However, when they are taken over or controlled by another species, they become like monsters and act against their peaceful instinct. You can tell when they are under the influence of others because their eyes will turn either red or green.

The Ood are originally from The Ood Sphere which we have seen briefly in the show. Another name that is commonly used for the Ood is the Oodkind.

The Ood have two brains, one of which they hold in their hands and the Ood are able to communicate with each other telepathically.

Judoon

Judoon

The Judoon are described by the Doctor as two things. First as ‘police for hire’ but also as ‘interplanetary thugs.’ Whichever way you choose to look at this species, they are extremely methodical with limited intelligence.

Their appearance is described as “a cross between a stocky human and a rhinoceros” and their home planet is unknown.

We know that they have worked for the Shadow Proclamation and they have said that the Doctor is not their enemy, though their actions have sometimes said different.
